Why Church?

Why do we go to the movies? To be entertained. Why do we go to plays? We like comedies and great play acting, along with great story lines about people and what people do. Why do we go to the supermarket? To buy food to eat and beverages to drink. Why do we go to the doctor? Because we need a check-up or because we might have something wrong with us. Why do we go to the hospital? To get healed. Why do we go to work? Because we have bills to pay and we need to have a roof over our heads.

As you can see, all these things are important. We do not minimize these important things but going to church is more important because, without God, all these things mean nothing. A person could gain the whole world but lose their own soul.

Why do we need to go to church?

The local church is a small representation of the total Body of believers throughout the world. Each local church is unique and special. Local churches comprise of many people from different walks of life that assemble in a facility to worship the Lord, through prayers, the preaching, and teaching of the Scriptures, and to care for the believers spiritual well being.

We go to church to hear and apply the principles of the Word of God, the Holy Bible. To help us understand God and how He lovingly teaches us, through His appointed pastors and teachers to live like Christ. To learn how to praise and worship the Lord through the prayers of praise and worship to the Lord, and participating in heartfelt prayer meetings to seek the Lord on behalf of other believers and for ourselves.

The word church was first mentioned by the Lord Jesus in the book of Matthew chapter 16 and verse 18. What does the word "church" mean? Church means "a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place known as an assembly."

So when you walk out of your home, just remember, you are walking past a facility where people become believers through being born again and assembling together to learn how to apply the principles of the Lord Jesus Christ through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

What Is Salvation

1. Why do we need to be saved?
The Bible has the answer. The Bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (see Romans 3:23).
Sin is doing wrong or evil. Sin occurred in heaven when one of the angels rebelled and attempted to attack God to remove Him from His throne. After the battle between the archangel Michael and his angels, and satan (adversary) and his angels, the devil was thrown to the earth. (see Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28:11-17, Revelation 12:7-9)

2. God’s Creation of Man/Gods Commandment
God created man and woman, Adam and Eve, as sinless beings. God instructed Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden, east in Eden. Furthermore, the Lord God warned them that in the day that they eat of the tree they would surely die. (see Genesis 2:7-25)
After satan deceived Eve and they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they discovered their nakedness. God delves out punishment and Christ was sent by the Lord God to pay for the sin of the whole world (see Genesis chapter 3)
God provided man with the only way out of death.
Genesis 3:15 (NLT), the Lord God said to the devil, "From now on, you and the woman will be enemies, and your offspring and her offspring will be enemies. He (Jesus) will crush your (satan's) head, and you will strike his heel."
This was a prophetic word from God to set in motion the birth of Christ to save man from his sins and to "undo, loosen, and dissolve the works the devil has done." (see 1 John 3:8 AMP)
Every person that is born into this world is born into sin, except the Lord Jesus.
"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me."
"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin,
and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned." (Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12)
Christ was born of the Virgin Mary (see Luke 1:26-38)
As predicted, thousands of years ago, the Lord Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. The reason why it was necessary for the Lord Jesus to be born of a virgin is to ensure that His blood would not come from man. After Mary questioned the archangel Gabriel about how she is to conceive, she accepted the assignment. The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and planted within her womb the Lord Jesus.
is medically verified that the sperm, not the egg carries the bloodline.
The blood of Jesus is sinless blood so long as Jesus doesn't sin. When it was time for Christ to die, the Father allowed the sins of the whole world to be placed on Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. According to Isaiah 53, the Lord God poured the cup of His wrath on His own Son. The wrath that awaits every man will come for those that refuse to accept the offer of eternal salvation (see Psalm 2:12 and Revelation 19:15-16).
3. Christ dies on the cross (see Matthew 26:45-65)
Christ (meaning Messiah, or the Anointed One), died on the cross for the sins of the whole world. John the Baptist said, "Behold! The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."
Christ is Resurrected from the dead and satan is defeated. The power and guilt of sin are destroyed (see Matthew 28:1-10, Romans chapter 6, Romans 10:9-10, Colossians 2:13-15).
As proof that the Lord God was satisfied that the sins of man were paid in full, God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus gave His life so that you would live. No other god or man's religion comes close to what only Jesus would do for you. To save you from your sins so you would not perish, but have eternal life!
Our sins are paid for in full because the Lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty of death for all man.
The justice of God was fully satisfied because God required sinless blood to appease His righteousness.

4. To Accept God’s Offer Of Salvation

When we SAY that Jesus is the Son of the living God, that Jesus is Lord, when we BELIEVE that God raised Jesus from the dead, according to Romans 10:9-10, we shall be saved.
This is an act of grace through faith, not of works. We can never earn eternal life.
Paul siad in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it (grace) is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."
"For God so loved (you) the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

5. What Is The Penalty For Refusing This Offer Of Salvation?

If you willingly refuse salvation or if you die before you repent and believe that Jesus is Lord, the Bible is very clear.
"He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. He that doesn't believe is condemned." Mark 16:16
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (see Romans 6:23).
"The soul that sins, it shall die" (see Ezekiel 18:20a).
"And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."
(see Revelation 20:15)
Hebrews 2:3 (AMP) says, "How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever."
You do not have a better way than the Lord God (100%, we doubt you have a better way).
Every person has a casket. What happens after the casket is left entirely up to you. To avoid the lake of fire, receive Him into your heart now! Because the next moment is not promised to anyone!
To receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior go to How Can I Be Committed To Christ.
Note: It is not a grammatical error where satan is not given an uppercase letter. satan is not worthy of grammatical correctness. Therefore, do not be grammatically offended.

Believe that Jesus is Lord. Believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God. Believe that God raised Jesus from the dead.

"If you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you shall be saved." Romans 10:9

It's that simple!

Are you ready to place your faith on Jesus for salvation?

"For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it (salvation by grace) is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."

Ephesians 2:8-9

It's not about what you are feeling. It is about accepting salvation by faith! Just trust God that He will honor His Word to save you from your sins! After this, the Holy Spirit will come in and give you a new heart and you become a new creature in Christ.

Lord, I repent of my sins. I say with my mouth that Jesus is Lord over my life. I believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that God raised Jesus from the dead. Based on faith in Your Word, I believe that right now I am saved. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Who Is This Jesus Everyone Talks About?

Who is this Jesus that everyone talks about? Is He a prophet? Is He a great teacher? Is He a great historical figure? Who is Jesus?

The first rule of believing is that you have to trust the Bible to tell you the truth. If you cannot trust the Bible to tell you the true story, then you will have difficulty believing that Jesus existed before He came in the flesh. The Bible is the only true source that gives an eyewitness account of the life of Jesus. When you believe that the Bible is the only truthful account of the pre-existence of Jesus, the rest is easy.

Jesus walked the earth. From Josephus to other great history books, His appearance on earth is without question. The Person called Jesus existed before time began. He never had a beginning and He will never have an end.

Many of you will say that He had a beginning. He was born in the flesh, wasn't He?

He was born of the Virgin Mary. The birth is true, but He existed before He came in the flesh. This is what makes Him unique and distinct. This is what makes Jesus God. The gospel of the apostle John, chapter one, verses 1 through 3 says, "In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made." We had a beginning in the flesh when we were born of our parents. But Jesus existed before He came in the flesh. What makes Jesus God is that He was responsible for creation. Everything that you see, Jesus was the One that spoke the worlds into existence. This is what makes Him God.

What makes Him Savior is that He died for the sins of the whole world. Every man's sins, from Adam to the last man yet to be born, His sinless blood paid the price of man's sin and He purchased or redeemed man back from sin. But man must accept the provision of salvation by faith to receive the gift of grace to be saved.

So Jesus is more than a great historical figure. He is God because He created the worlds and He is Savior because He died for the sins of the whole world.
